HEMET, Riverside County — November 4, 2026. Hemet voters are closely divided on Measure Q, a city public-safety and essential-services ballot proposal, according to the first county returns.
Preliminary numbers from the county
The Riverside County unofficial totals show 52.10% Yes and 47.90% No as of the November 4 morning update, a lead of 4.20 percentage points for Yes.
What these early results mean
The measure’s outcome should not be treated as final while mail and conditional ballots remain to be counted. Its legal effects should be described from the official ballot text rather than inferred from the early percentage alone.
Riverside County reported that election-night counting had finished while an estimated 485,000 vote-by-mail ballots and 11,000 conditional-registration ballots remained to be counted countywide. Those countywide totals do not specify how many ballots are still outstanding in this particular contest. Check the registrar’s latest posting for changes before concluding who won or whether a measure passed.
